The Mayor has also championed a number of forward thinking initiatives including the Greater Toronto Area's 2007 Smart Growth Summit.

As CEO or Chairman of the Board of public companies in the technology industry, Ron led several organizations to successful turnarounds and where appropriate, restructuring and sale. With nineteen years of leadership experience with Vicinity Corporation, Beyond.com, Merisel North America, NCR, Amdahl and Honeywell, his specialty was driving increased revenue, profit and shareholder return.
Bob Glandfield
President and CEO, ISCM
As a former technology advisor for the National Research Council, Bob Glandfield has extensive experience bringing new products to market for companies from diverse sectors. He has also managed a number of private enterprises at various senior levels. Bob was a co-founder of the Innovation Synergy Centre and has served as the President and CEO since its launch in 2003.

Terry Graham is a highly successful serial entrepreneur in the high tech and cleantech sectors, adept at launching technological innovations in the marketplace. With a long track record of success, he has led several companies through remarkable growth. Responsible for strategic planning and business operations, Terry has served many companies at this senior level throughout his prominent 27 year career.
Dr. Richard Hornsey, P.Eng.
Associate Dean for Engineering, York University
Richard Hornsey received his bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees in Engineering Science from Oxford University, UK. He has over twenty years' research experience in the semiconductor and microelectronics fields, and has worked with companies in Europe, North America and Asia. He currently heads the School of Engineering at York University.
Dr. Katharine Janzen
Associate Vice President, Research & Innovation, Seneca College
Dr. Janzen has taught in college and university programs for more than thirty years; she was for more than 10 years the Director, Centre for Professional Development and since January 2003 she has been the Associate Vice President Research and Innovation at Seneca College.
Frank Maw
Past President, Motorola Canada
Frank Maw, former President of Motorola Canada Ltd., retired after 35 years in consumer products and the IT industry. He has been the Chairman of several national IT industry associations and now works as an early-stage business consultant. Mr. Maw continues to advise several fast-growing IT companies, MaRS, and the BDC. He has also served on the board of a number of major community service organizations.
Theo Peridis, BSc., MA, MPhil, PhD.
Associate Professor, Schulich School of Business, York University
Dr. Peridis is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at the Schulich School of Business. A director of the York Consulting Group, he has also taught at universities in Europe, North America and the Middle East. Dr. Peridis has advised many companies on strategic management issues and has frequently worked with firms on managing their acquisitions and strategic alliances.
Andrew Wilkes
Chair, National Angel Capital Organization
Mr. Wilkes is the Chairman and a founding member of the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO). He is active on numerous Boards of Directors with private and public businesses and volunteer organizations. Mr. Wilkes is an active investor who looks for high-growth opportunities in traditional industries with a technological edge.

A Certified Management Consultant, Stephen Chait also serves as a board member of the Economic Developers of Canada. He has been the Director of Markham’s award-winning economic development program since 1995.
